Jaipur known as the pink city of India is a land of culture, traditions and a very sound history. Maharaja Jai Singh founded Jaipur city and ruled from 1699-1744. Jaipur is also known as the land of Forts and Palaces. A Bengali artist Vidyadhar Bhattacharya designed the city.
In 1876 when Prince of Wales was invited to India, Maharaja Man Singh II got the entire city painted in Pink and this pretty city got its name 'Pink City Jaipur'.
