State of Colorado in the Western United States is bordered to the north by Wyoming and Nebraska, to the east by Nebraska and Kansas, to the south by Oklahoma and New Mexico and to the west by Utah. Famous for spectacular mountains, Colorado has become a popular destination to those who are keen on exploring wild nature and adventure. Visiting Colorado, tourist cannot miss seeing Castle Rock, Chapel on the Rock, Mount of the Holy Cross or Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site. Beside mountainous sceneries, this state attracts thousands of travelers every year with its unique buildings, too.
Mount of the Holy Cross is the 14,000-foot mountain in the Sawatch Range, part of the Rocky Mountains. It was named for the distinctive cross-shaped snowfield on the northeast face. Holy Cross can be climbed by at least four different routes.
